Fluoride Ionic Strength Adjuster, TISAB3, Reagecon™
Used for fluoride determination in the presence of Al(III) using an Ion Selective Electrode (ISE). Fluoride Ionic Strength Adjuster, TISAB3, Reagecon™ is used to measure ion activity when the sample solution needs additional removal of interfering ions and/or pH buffering.
Brand: Reagecon TISAF5
Description
An Ionic Strength Adjuster (ISA) is used to level the ion activity for all sample solutions to enable ionic activity measurements in sample solutions using an Ion Selective Electrode (ISE). If the sample solution needs additional removal of interfering ions and/or pH buffering, it is not called ISA solution, but a TISAB (total ionic strength adjustment buffer) solution.
- The TISAB keeps the ionic strength of the sample and standard high, constant and similar, which enables activity measurement to be read as concentration
- The TISAB keeps the pH value constant, which helps suppress or eliminate interfering ions
- The TISAB eliminates any matrix, hysteresis or erroneous liquid junction potentials that might affect the accuracy of the test result
- A TISAB should never react with the sample or standard chemically
